Michigan Civil Rights Commission supports teaching racism

What is the purpose of the Michigan Civil Rights Commission? It was created:

"The Michigan Constitution protects constitutional and legal protection against discrimination. This committee is responsible for investigating anyone suspected of discriminating against anyone on the basis of religion, race, color or nationality, genetic information, sex, age, marital status, height, weight, arrest record, and physical or mental disability The Michigan Department of Civil Rights is the operating department of the commission."

If they really should "maintain the constitution and the law to protect against discrimination," then why should they support racism and discrimination?

On Monday, November 22, the committee passed a resolution against two Michigan legislation that would prohibit the teaching of racist Critical Race Theory (CRT) in K-12 public schools in Michigan. These legislations are Senate Bill 460 and House of Representatives Bill 5097.

The committee stated that they would like to take a stand on "any and all legislation that promotes review and banning of books." Interestingly, this means that they will also support books that teach KKK virtues and the Nazis' attempts at what the committee might call Jewish eugenics. Will they object to banning those books?

Stacy Clayton, chairman of the Michigan Civil Rights Commission, said:

"Students have the right to receive complete, accurate, and truthful education, especially on issues that have serious social impact and consequences... The Michigan Civil Rights Commission is committed to providing all children in Michigan with academic freedom and fair, comprehensive and historical education. "

This means that she and the committee members who voted for the resolution believe that white children should be taught that they are racists because of their skin color, and that black children should be told that they are victims and will always be victims because of their skin color. This is what CRT teaches children.

Are you surprised when you learn that only one of the eight members of the board of directors is a Republican? His name is Ira Combs, Jr., and he said he does not believe that critical race theory is a legitimate term.

Mr. Combs abstained from voting on the resolution. It was adopted with the support of five committee members: Committee Chair Stacie Clayton, Committee Vice Chair Zenna Faraj Elhasan, and Committee members Richard Corriveau, Gloria Lara and Portia Roberson. Commissioners Regina Gasco-Bentley and Anupama Kosaraju were absent from the meeting on November 22.

When will these racists/paranoids stop imposing racism on Michigan's young children?

It is disturbing to think that members of the Michigan "Civil Rights" committee itself now need to be investigated for "suspicion of discriminating against anyone on the basis of race and color."
