Why you should go: Charlotte and surrounding area high school students will have the opportunity to talk about scholarships with representatives from colleges and universities. A variety of schools participate, from large private and public universities to small, liberal-arts colleges.

Camp North End | 6-8pm | Free | Details 

Why you should go: Meet with your fellow community members who share your desire to make an impact on the city. This is the first of three events in Sustain Charlotte’s advocacy-focused series about sustainable land use and transportation. The upcoming ones are on Nov. 10 and Dec. 15.

The Cocktailery in South End | 6:30-8pm | $90 | Details 

Why you should go: In this class, you’ll make three cocktails that will incorporate seasonal flavors and ingredients that would be perfect to cozy up with and enjoy while you watch the leaves change into all of the beautiful colors of fall.

Why you should go: Paint along to R&B hits in Uptown. Your $20 ticket includes everything you need to paint your masterpiece, parking and a raffle ticket.
