The new TV commercial of "No Way Home" cleverly gives the film a different perspective

Spider-Man’s new TV commercial: No Way Home has made subtle changes to Doctor Strange’s dialogue; however, it seems to change the story’s stakes.

The new TV commercial for the upcoming multi-mcu entry Spider-Man: Nowhere to go brings a very small but significant change to Doctor Strange's offer. Although the changes are small (but obvious), one word can look at the whole scene from a different perspective. And this change occurred in the trailer, in which Doctor Strange asked Peter Parker of the Netherlands to "Scooby Do this nonsense".

In the official trailer for "No Way Home", we heard Doctor Strange explain to Parker and his friends the new troubles and signs of chaos that Pete has faced recently. He said,

"...When you messed up that spell and wanted everyone to forget that you were Spider-Man, we started to welcome visitors from all universes..."

The footage in the trailer clearly suggests that Peter Parker clearly caused this chaos that put the entire universe in extreme danger. We further see that Peter prevents Strange from apparently sending these villains back to their world, which may lead to uncovering the true story of the movie.

However, in a recent notice from The Direct, a new TV commercial showed that Strange changed his words in the same conversation. He iterates,

"...When I turned off that spell, we began to receive visitors..."

In this change mentioned earlier, the whole scene seems to be a little different. It actually raises a big question-who is really responsible for the cruel multiverse conflict mentioned above?

If you remember, Parker first asked Doctor Strange to help him make people forget his identity as Spider-Man. However, when he realized that this meant that everyone, even those he loved, would forget his true identity, he interrupted Strange, causing the latter to lose control of the spell. This opened the door to the multiverse. As Strange said, this is something that he and other wizards know very little, and this creates cross-dimensional problems for wall climbers and wizards. This speculation is also based on footage from the trailer, which shows Spider-Man and the doctor fighting with each other, and fans believe this is due to his childish, hasty decision by Spider-Man.

But now, if Strange is willing to turn off that spell, is it really the trouble that Parker caused? By preventing Strange from sending these villains back to their world, he does seem to aggravate the chaos; however, the distortion of the spell is not entirely Peter's fault. A small change will only reverse the entire scene and bring a completely different shooting and outlook to a large part of the movie.

In addition, Strange may have closed it after losing control of it. Wong warned him not to use this spell and explicitly called it dangerous. In addition, since Strange himself knows very little about the rules of the multiverse, he may not be able to fully maintain enough energy to successfully complete it. Nevertheless, it is becoming increasingly unclear who caused the multi-universe guests to arrive and break the hell in MCU Earth 616 and trigger unprecedented events.

The multiverse itself is a complex subject, even if we look at it from the fictional perspective of the audience. According to reports, Marvel Studios sat down for a meeting just to discuss this concept and its consequences in its films, all of which happened in a common continuum. In addition, this concept is only explored on a small level in the live-action version, and DC's Arrowverse is involved as a prominent project. For Marvel, "Spider-Man: Way Home" will be the first project to really study it in depth, because it is hinted at in the Disney+ series "Rocky" (confirming the "multiple worlds" exist).

This movie brought back the iconic villain from the previous Spider-Man movies and was hyped among fans, who speculated on the Spider-Man iterations of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield. No matter what happens, No Way Home will definitely expand the boundaries of the MCU, and may open up space for Spider-Man's own mini universe itself, and complement Sony's Spider-Man universe.

When "Spider-Man: No Way To Go" is released in theaters on December 17, 2021, the actual situation of "Spider-Man" and "Doctor Strange" will be revealed soon.
