Shortly before 10:30 a.m. last Friday, the police were sent to the Big Y parking lot on Versey Street in Massachusetts to investigate the robbery of an 84-year-old woman.

According to the Vail Police Department, officers were told that the suspect might have had a gun at the time of the incident. The police also reported that bystanders tried to arrest the suspect, but the suspect was able to escape.

The police then pursued the suspect on foot. He was found in the woods behind the Brookside Supermarket, across the street from the Big Y parking lot that was suspected of being robbed.

The suspect was eventually found and arrested near the blue tarps and wooden furniture of the Columbus Old Knights on West Street. Subsequently, the suspect was arrested.

The suspect was later identified as 36-year-old Dominic Demat of Vail, Massachusetts. Dematte was charged as follows:

Demat was sent to Belchertown District Court for subpoena. As of now, the date of the subpoena has not been announced. But it is good news for the old woman (still unidentified). She did not need to receive any hospitalization, all her property was recovered and returned to her.

Ware police also reported that the suspect did not use a pistol, but they found a knife. For more information on the story, please check the Ware Police Department Facebook page.
